- Morero set an immediate test — `It’s simple, check us on Tuesday.` — and said systems, budget and political will are aligned, with true measures next week, next month and into the new year.
- The opposition Democratic Alliance accused authorities of a staged clean-up, which Morero rejected, while Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi said weekly ministerial meetings will continue after the summit.
