Mayhem as cruise passengers erupt into wild brawl
Carnival Cruise Line said 16 passengers were placed on its Do Not Sail list after video showed punches, kicks and luggage thrown in the terminal.
On Monday, a violent brawl erupted at Port Miami after passengers disembarked a Carnival Cruise Line vessel returning from the Bahamas. The chaotic altercation unfolded in the customs debarkation area.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office reported the fight involved two families, though the specific trigger remains unclear; Customs and Border Protection officers intervened to restore order.
Dramatic footage shows passengers throwing punches, pulling hair, and wrestling in the customs line. The altercation escalated when one woman charged under a retractable belt, causing travelers to pile on each other.
Carnival Cruise Line confirmed 16 individuals involved have been placed on its Not Sail List, stating the company does not tolerate such behavior.
Separately, Carnival Splendour master Eduardo Ferrone recently issued warnings requiring "very modest" swimwear for an eight-day South Pacific cruise, writing on Facebook that passengers must follow a respectful dress code.
