Maxx Crosby calls nixed Ravens trade 'water under the bridge' as he refocuses on Raiders
Crosby says the failed deal is behind him as he rehabs a January knee surgery and prepares to learn a new Raiders defensive scheme.
Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby said Wednesday he has moved on from his nixed trade to the Ravens, calling the situation "water under the bridge" while refocusing on the upcoming season.
The Raiders agreed to trade Crosby to the Ravens for two first-round draft picks on March 6, but Baltimore backed out four days later after he reportedly failed a physical exam.
Recovering from surgery to repair a torn meniscus, Crosby described the process as the "longest rehab" of his career, though he is nearing a return to the field.
Defensive coordinator Rob Leonard, who is shifting the team to a 3-4 scheme, praised Crosby's dedication, stating it is "awesome to help him toward some of his goals" this season.
Crosby, who recorded 10 sacks and 28 tackles for loss last season, remains committed to the Raiders under a three-year extension worth $91.5 million guaranteed.
