- While defending Peyton Watson, Flagg turned his left ankle with 6:01 left in the second quarter after a foul call, and he had injured the same ankle two nights earlier, briefly getting it taped before scoring 27 points in a 113-105 victory over Brooklyn.
- Flagg limped to the bench and went to the locker room, then returned for the final 2:35 before halftime, but he did not come out for the second half before the team announced he was out.
- With Gafford sidelined in-game and Davis and Lively absent long-term, Dallas faces frontcourt strain as 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis is expected sidelined about six weeks and Dereck Lively II is out for the season.
