Matching outfits, travel expenses added to East Palo Alto's growing budget

East Palo Alto was slated to adopt a conservative budget with minimal new expenses at a Tuesday council meeting, taking into consideration the city’s ongoing deficit. That is until three council members at the last minute added hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of additional expenses for matching outfits, community programming and travel expenses among other items.
