The 18-story building caught fire due to a fire that broke out in a technical shaft outside the 11th floor. Police and technicians promptly rescued a person trapped in an elevator on the 10th floor while smoke was filling the building.
According to Hanoi City Police, the fire at Viet Tower building started from the technical shaft outside the building and then spread to the outside of the upper floors.
