Texans Acquire WR Marvin Harrison Jr. From Cardinals, Hoping to Bolste
Houston adds C.J. Stroud’s former Ohio State teammate after Harrison managed 5 catches for 85 yards and a touchdown in four games.
On Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans announced the team acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals, finalizing the trade just before kickoff against the Tennessee Titans.
Harrison struggled to establish himself in Arizona, finishing his tenure with 108 receptions for 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns in 33 games. Production plummeted this season to five catches for 85 yards through four games.
The move reunites Harrison with former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud, whom he played alongside in college. The duo combined for 88 catches, 1,402 yards, and 17 touchdowns over two seasons.
In exchange for Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick, the Cardinals receive a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick. The trade provides Arizona significant draft capital for rebuilding.
Harrison joins a receiving corps featuring two-time Pro Bowler Nico Collins, who has 193 yards this season. The 1-4 Texans hope this addition sparks their offense after a 26-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
