Marvel TV series 'Zodiac' sets 2028 Disney+ release
Brad Winderbaum said the series will shoot in London next spring and casting will begin within weeks.
- On Thursday at New York Comic Con, Head of Marvel Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise Brad Winderbaum announced a new live-action spy thriller series, Zodiac, set to premiere on Disney Plus in 2028.
- This announcement marks the first new live-action series from Marvel Television since last year's Ironheart, as the studio has scaled back production recently, notably canceling a second season of Wonder Man despite earlier renewal and Emmy recognition for star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
- Winderbaum teased potential MCU connections, noting the logo design features imagery resembling Tony Stark's Arc Reactors and the SHIELD agency, hinting at crossover storylines involving characters from previous Netflix projects.
- The panel also provided updates on upcoming projects, including VisionQuest premiering next week and the third and final season of Daredevil: Born Again arriving next year, featuring a reunion of original Defenders cast members.
- Beyond live-action projects, the studio's animation slate includes the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in January 2027 and three Marvel Zombies specials debuting on Disney Plus during the Halloween season next year.
