Martin Lewis says 'thank you' as he reveals major council tax change after campaign
The reforms will give households more time to pay, clearer warnings and more council support, after Lewis warned the system was too aggressive.

The reforms introduce mandatory additional time to pay, clearer warnings for missed payments, and increased council support, all taking effect next April as the Government promised.
Rayner promised a fairer system, stating she was "getting on with the job," while Lewis described the incoming changes as a "great start." Both praised the reform effort.
The Government launched a consultation within weeks of Lewis's initial meeting with Rayner, completing the policy announcement within 18 months—a timeline Lewis called "bullet train pace for politics.
