On April 4th, seven people, including Ryunosuke Otsuka (34), the 7th head of the Hokushin Itto-ryu school of martial arts, which has been passed down since the late Edo period and resides in Germany, visited Aoi Aso Shrine in Hitoyoshi City and dedicated the "koshirae" (sword mountings) for three swords that were damaged in the 2020 Kumamoto floods. The shrine has approximately 70 swords.
