As a result of intelligence work and the exchange of inter-institutional information, officers of the Mexican Navy through the “Naval Intelligence Unit” and operational personnel of the State Investigation Agency (AEI) of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO) carried out a strategic operation that led to the arrest of Carlos Miguel Mellado, known as “El Abulon”, “El Coco”, “El Pena”, “La Iguana” and/or “El León”.
