Marin unemployment rate ticks up in new report

The unemployment rate in Marin County was 4.8% in July, up from 4.5% in June and 4.3% the prior July, according to new data from the state Employment Development Department. The figure for last month tied Santa Clara County and Orange County for fifth lowest in the state.
