In Nitra, the Jewish community lived in harmony and friendship with the majority. Nazi atrocities cruelly disrupted this coexistence. Very valuable testimony about the Second World War in Nitra was brought by Mrs. Jurčová, who also perceived the events through the eyes of a child: she witnessed the transport of Jewish fellow citizens, the brutal interventions of the Hlinka Guard and the bombing of Nitra.
