Knokke-Heist has awarded the new concessions for the operation of beach bars. While 6 operators are losing their current spots on the beach, there is also a notable newcomer, as entrepreneur Marc Coucke has been allocated one of the 25 spots. ZouteCoucke, which groups all its activities along the coast, is going to create Woyo Beach on the sands of Knokke together with two local entrepreneurs.
Marc Coucke has secured his coveted spot on the beach in Knokke. ‘Woyo Beach’ will open near Albertplein in mid-2027. Coucke is one of 24 operators who secured a concession for the next nine years. Six established businesses, on the other hand, are disappearing from the beach in Knokke-Heist. “We realize that this matter has a huge impact on many people,” says the responsible alderman Bert De Brabandere (Inzicht).
Investor Marc Coucke has secured a concession on the beach in Knokke. Knokke entrepreneurs Ellen De Beck and Jonasi Deetens will take the helm of Coucke's beach bar Woyo Beach in the middle of next year.
