Lurdes Gloria Manuel won the 300-meter race at the Diamond League meeting in Chorzów in the fastest Czech time in history, 35.76 seconds. The indoor world champion in the 400-meter run and fourth woman at the recent European Championships was the first Czech woman to run this non-championship distance under 36 seconds. She improved the previous best Czech performance of Helena Fuchsová from 1999 by 68 hundredths.
