Manchester United Missing Four Players vs Wolves Despite Bruno Fernandes Request
Manchester United will miss captain Bruno Fernandes and three others due to injuries against Wolves, with Fernandes eager to return despite a hamstring issue, coach Ruben Amorim confirmed.
- On Tuesday Manchester United will be without captain Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Matthijs de Ligt, and Harry Maguire for the Wolves visit, despite Fernandes asking to return after a hamstring injury.
- Because of injuries and AFCON call-ups, United's absences include De Ligt and Maguire facing longer sidelines, Fernandes missing a short period, and Mazraoui, Diallo, and Mbeumo unavailable.
- Fernandes has been visible around training after completing treatment at Carrington, and Amorim said `Bruno was already saying that he needs to train, but we don't know,' reflecting caution.
- With key midfielders and defenders out, Lisandro Martinez deputised in midfield last week and Leny Yoro starts in a five-man defence, while Casemiro completes a very defensive back eight.
- Mainoo could return to training this week and may face Leeds on Sunday, but Amorim said, `I don't know how Mase is going to be for that game.
