NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — Newport police arrested a Providence man Wednesday night for allegedly stabbing a city man in the back multiple times. NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed in Newport Wednesday evening, according to police. Officers were called to a home on Dudley Avenue for reports of a stabbing. The victim, who has not been identified, was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
