Man Stabbed to Death in Reddick; Woman Taken Into Custody
Amy Hogg is accused of second-degree murder and aggravated battery after deputies said she stabbed two people during a dispute.
- On Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on West Highway 318 in Reddick at 3:15 a.m., where they found a man fatally stabbed and arrested 33-year-old Amy Hogg at the scene.
- According to reports, Hogg, a family friend staying with the couple, began drinking with them Friday evening; the situation escalated after she allegedly initiated a verbal altercation and pushed the female victim.
- The 911 call revealed that Hogg allegedly "repeatedly stabbed the male victim while mocking the female victim's pleas for help until she was disarmed by the female victim," MCSO said. The man sustained "multiple lacerations."
- Following a brief hospital stay, Hogg was booked into the Marion County Jail, where she remains held without bond on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
