Elderly Man Found Dead After Suburban Shootout with Police

- Authorities evacuated nearby residents and cordoned Galloway Street while AFP tactical response and bomb response teams plus specialist negotiators worked on the scene.
- Found dead at about 11:50pm, the man was later located in the shed on the property, with an autopsy planned to determine the cause of death, police said.
- Authorities have referred the matter to the Coroner, ACT Policing's Criminal Investigations branch, and AFP Professional Standards, confirming no police officers sustained any injuries.
