A 70-year-old man triggered a nightly search in the Montafon on the night of Monday. The locals wanted to descend from the 1,854-metre-high Alpe Netza in the municipality of St. Gallenkirch to the ca. 200-metre-high Maisäß. In the darkness, the man crashed into a steep, rocky forest about 60 metres, according to the police.
