Man charged with murder after 87-year-old dies following alleged robbery

Peter Augustine, 58, was formally accused of murdering and robbing an 87-year-old man who died in Manor House, north London, on May 8, 2025.
Police responded to reports of a robbery on Goodchild Road at about 5:53pm on May 6, which led to the elderly victim being hospitalized and later dying.
Officers arrested Augustine in Green Lanes, Hornsey, and he appeared in court on May 9; police named the victim John Mackey and said a black duffle bag was stolen.
