Woman Uses Weed Whacker to Fight Off Man Accused of Trying to Abduct Her, Court Docs Say

Police say the victim identified Junior Davila-Moran in a photo lineup after he allegedly threatened her with a knife and handcuffs.

  • On Wednesday, Oct. 14, Junior Davila-Moran allegedly confronted a 23-year-old woman outside her home in the 300 block of Creek Road in Sadsbury Township, Pennsylvania, wielding a knife and handcuffs.
  • The victim was weed whacking near her driveway when Davila-Moran tapped her shoulder, police said. She fought back by revving the tool and moving toward him before fleeing to a neighbor's home to request assistance.
  • A nearby trail camera captured a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup truck parked along Creek Road from 4:09 p.m. to 4:22 p.m. On Oct. 16, police presented a photo lineup, and the victim immediately identified Davila-Moran, stating, "This photograph makes me tremble."
  • Later that day, Hamilton Township police searched Davila-Moran's home and took him into custody. Troopers found the involved truck parked outside with a pair of handcuffs in plain sight.
  • Authorities charged Davila-Moran with two counts of attempted kidnapping, simple assault, and terroristic threats. The New Jersey resident remains in custody following the Pennsylvania State Police investigation.
