Man Accused of Pushing Woman, Baby From 15th Floor Bronx Balcony to Be Arraigned
Authorities say surveillance and prior domestic violence evidence point to a dispute before the fatal 15th-floor fall that killed Nathaly Ramirez and injured the infant.
On Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, Angel Carrasco, 31, appeared virtually before a Bronx Criminal Court judge from a hospital psychiatric ward for his arraignment in the death of his ex-girlfriend.
Authorities accuse Carrasco of shoving 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez and their 8-month-old daughter from a 15th-floor balcony on Oct. 6, 2026, in the Bronx's Allerton neighborhood.
Witnesses reported hearing Ramirez plead, "Please don't do this," before the fall. Investigators believe the mother shielded the infant, helping the child survive the 150-foot drop.
Judge Cary Fischer remanded Carrasco to jail without bail and issued a protective order barring him from contacting his infant daughter. He faces murder, attempted murder, and manslaughter charges.
With the next court date set for Nov. 4, the community has held vigils honoring Ramirez while drawing attention to a documented history of domestic violence between the couple.
