A Fire on the Spanish Island of Mallorca Kills 2 People and Injures Several
The fire started on the third floor and forced more than 12 evacuations, while authorities investigate the cause, officials said.

- Calvi Mayor Juan Antonio Amengual praised firefighters' performance but noted residents fled toward the stairwell instead of balconies. "When there's a fire, you have to stay inside your home and go to the balcony," he said.
- Balearic Islands Marga Prohens expressed condolences to victims' families, writing: "My condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, all my support to those affected and my gratitude to the firefighters."
- The Civil Guard is investigating the fire's cause, which was extinguished two hours after it began. Authorities confirmed that the victims' nationalities remain unknown as the investigation continues.
