In Mali, the blockade of Léré, in the Timbuktu region, has been over. It has been almost a year - since October 2025 - that the jihadists of the Islamic and Muslim Support Group (Jnim, linked to al-Qaeda) banned any entry or exit from this city near Mauritania. The inhabitants lacked everything and especially food to feed themselves. But after negotiations that lasted about a month, the jihadists agreed to lift their blockade.
