The $1.6 billion investment expands Vantage's Asia-Pacific capacity to about 1GW and adds Johor’s 300MW hyperscale campus, enhancing infrastructure for AI and cloud customers.
- Vantage Data Centers completed a $1.6 billion equity investment into its Asia-Pacific platform, closing the purchase of Yondr Group’s JHB1 campus in Johor, Malaysia.
- Initially announced in September, the deal expands Vantage's regional platform to 1GW of operational and planned IT capacity across Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
- The Johor campus, JHB1, sits on nearly 73 acres, will deliver three data centers, and was financed by a green loan featuring direct-to-chip liquid cooling and EDGE certification targets.
- Vantage welcomed more than 30 Yondr APAC team members, while DigitalBridge said new commitments from GIC and ADIA will drive continued regional growth, Jeremy Deutsch said.
- Located in the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone, the campus offers dark fiber routes to regional hubs and strengthens access to Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand for AI and cloud customers.
