Malaysia to ‘overhaul’ anti-graft measures in military as minister slams recent scandals for eroding public trust

Malaysia’s Defence Ministry plans to overhaul procurement and anti-corruption measures in 2026 after scandals undermined public trust and affected safety and efficiency, Defence Minister said.

Defence Minister Khaled Nordin says accusations of corruption and immorality in the Malaysian Armed Forces have embroiled it in “ugly and distorted” public debate.
