Maersk raises outlook again as AI buildout, port congestion keep freight rates high
Maersk raised its 2026 profit guidance for the third time, citing congested ports, strong consumer demand, and artificial-intelligence investments that kept container freight rates high.
Maersk now expects 2026 underlying EBITDA of $14 billion to $14.5 billion, up from its previous range of $10.5 billion to $12.5 billion.
The company expects underlying operating profit of $8 billion to $8.5 billion, compared with its earlier range of $4.5 billion to $6.5 billion.
Third-Quarter EBITDA rose 75% to $4.7 billion, while CEO Vincent Clerc said global trade remained resilient.
