Madrid, Valencia and Andalusia led growth in the first quarter, with Galicia and Asturias in line
The autonomous communities of Madrid, Valencia and Andalusia led the growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of the year. The economies of these three communities grew by 0.7% in the first quarter compared to the last period of 2024 – one tenth above the state average of 0.6% – according to the estimate published on Monday by the Independent Tax Liability Authority (Airef).
