- As a result of few repayments, Carrim reports being out of pocket by R8.25 million after payments began trickling in in February 2025 and a final net payment of R1.7 million by mid‑March 2025, with Matlala later informing him of contract cancellation.
- Carrim denies links to Mchunu, Kahn, and Sibiya and suggests Brown was not acting alone amid the SAPS‑linked tender, saying promises did not materialise and influence was misrepresented.
