Madison County Has 58% Voter Turnout for 2026 General Election
Republicans won every statewide office as just over 45% of Oklahoma’s registered voters cast ballots, the Election Board reported.
On Tuesday, November 3, Oklahoma voters participated in the general election, with the Oklahoma State Election Board reporting that just over 45% of the state's 2.46 million registered voters cast ballots.
This year's turnout saw a decrease compared to the 2022 general election, when slightly more than 50% of registered voters participated in statewide races including governor and attorney general.
Republican candidate Mike Mazzei won the race for Oklahoma governor with 52% of the vote, defeating Democratic candidate Cyndi Munson, while U.S. Senate candidate Kevin Hern secured the open seat with 57.30% support.
Oklahomans rejected both State Question 845 and State Question 847 on Tuesday, with the first proposing changes to the Judicial Nominating Commission and the second seeking to limit property tax assessment growth.
Early voting numbers proved significant compared to past years, with voter Adrian Leon emphasizing the importance of in-person participation, saying, "It's great to be out here," as citizens sought to influence local policy.
