Macklemore’s ‘Free Palestine’ Tour ‘Sold Out Immediately,’ Rapper Says
The 26 October show sold out in 5 minutes after two presales and a surge of interest tied to his Palestine advocacy.
- Tickets for 43-year-old musician Macklemore's Dublin 3Arena concert on October 26 sold out within five minutes, part of his newly launched Free Palestine tour spanning Dublin, Paris, and London.
- Macklemore launched the tour after being removed from pop star Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour, claiming Robert Kraft, CEO of Kraft Group, told Sheeran he 'would not be allowed to perform in his stadium' due to pro-Palestine comments.
- Several artists, including Irish acts Aaron Rowe and Beoga, plus Finneas and Danish band Lukas Graham, withdrew from Sheeran's remaining dates in solidarity with Macklemore.
- All proceeds from the three October concerts will support organizations aiding Palestinians. Macklemore stated, 'When those in power try to silence our calls for liberation, art will always be a form of resistance.'
