M&S Launches 20 Products for People on Weight Loss Jabs
M&S launched 20 products designed to help people on GLP-1 weight-loss drugs meet daily nutrient needs amid 96% of UK adults not meeting fibre guidelines.
- On January 5, Marks & Spencer is launching the Nutrient Dense range of 20 products in M&S Foodhalls to help customers on weight-loss medication maintain a healthy diet.
- IQVIA data show 2.49 million packs of GLP-1 weight-loss drugs were bought in July, with sales rising by another million in the July–August period amid stockpiling.
- Featuring specially verified ingredients, the range includes an H5O shot with five botanicals verified by Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew alongside coconut water, cold-pressed ginger juice, fruit and vegetable fibre and sea moss, as M&S said it aims to pack more nutrients per mouthful.
- M&S says the range will help customers reducing food intake, such as people taking GLP-1 weight-loss medication, while estimates suggest about 90% pay privately and the NHS has limited eligibility.
- Looking ahead, the NHS expects to give jabs to 240,000 people over three years, while Marks & Spencer cited the Government's National Diet and Nutrition Survey 2025 showing 96% miss daily fibre targets.
