UniCredit is set to take control of Commerzbank much more quickly than previously reported. The Milan-based financial institution, with the necessary supervisory permits, could hold an extraordinary general meeting and, in the best-case scenario, acquire a majority stake in Germany's second-largest bank as early as January, the Financial Times reported.
