Like a quarter of a final in the Champions League, a campaign for municipal elections is never played in advance. Favourite of the vote in Lyon next March, Jean-Michel Aulas has been given the lead for several weeks. In a very slight decline from the last polls in autumn, the former President of OL is still credited with 46% of the voting intentions for the March municipal election.
The December Opinionway poll for Lyon Mag and Radio Espace on municipal elections gives Jean-Michel Aulas the lead in the first round and wins in the second, with a very slight drop in voting intentions. Same music on the Métropole side, where the list of Véronique Sarselli (The Republicans) maintains a lead.
If January should be a new stage of the campaign with a more complete project, December looks like a big barter fair at Coeur Lyonnais.
