- Family members and residents staged protests alleging police ignored repeated complaints; BJP general secretary Abhijaat Mishra called the officers' conduct "shocking," stating, "Had they acted on time, such a tragedy could have been avoided."
- Authorities registered an FIR charging eight people with murder and rioting under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with the accused currently produced before a court for judicial remand as legal proceedings continue.
