A pig truck overturns on the A31 motorway, traffic cut off

A truck carrying 150 pigs had an accident on the A31 motorway on the night of Friday to Saturday December 21, 2024. The facts occurred in the Robécourt sector in the Vosges, a little before 4 am. Some of the animals have escaped. The highway was partially cut off, causing several kilometers and several hours of traffic jams. The prefecture advises to avoid the area.

The loss of control of a truck loaded with live pigs on the A31 near Blevaincourt tonight around 3:30 in the morning still has consequences. As the whole road is on the side, it must still be raised to allow the heavily disturbed traffic to resume its course. As for the pigs wandering around for part of the night, they were eventually caught.
