Meterology announces atmospheric instability accentuated throughout the country until Friday morning, with torrential disturbances, electric discharges, wind intensifications and thunder conditions. Tuesday, a yellow code was issued which covers more regions in the south and the centre of the country, including the city of Bucharest.

After the beautiful weather during the May 1st mini-holiday, the yellow storm code has taken over a large part of the country. While in Mureş and Mehedinţi, the flood inundated several streets and households, in Bacău and Hunedoara, chunks of ice wreaked havoc, and locals could only watch as their crops were compromised. The atmospheric instability will remain in our territory until Thursday and will bring showers, lightning and hail.

Heavy showers have been the main protagonists of the afternoon in many parts of the country. In the Principality, fifteen counties were on alert with a pumpkin warning and the forecasts have been fulfilled. In some places, the storms have been accompanied by hail.
