ELYSURG — Just 12 days after Knoebels Amusement Resort celebrated its 100th anniversary, the Knoebel family announced Thursday the death of President Emeritus Richard “Dick” Knoebel.

Knoebels Amusement Resort is mourning the loss of its longtime president.  The park announced the death of Dick Knoebel yesterday at the age of 87.  He retired last year after heading the family business for close to four decades. Dick’s youngest son and current park president Brian Knoebel said his dad did “everything he could to make Knoebels the greatest destination on earth.”
