Members of the Bancroft OPP are investigating a fatal ATV collision in their area Tuesday afternoon. Shortly before 1:45 p.m., Bancroft OPP responded to reports of an ATV collision on a trail near McCauley Lake Road. Early OPP investigation indicates that a 64-year-old male from London, Ontario was operating an ATV when it rolled over. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. Fatal ATV crash in north Hastings County

There has been a tragedy in the Bancroft area following a fatal off-road crash on Tuesday.  A 64-year-old London man died after his ATV rolled over on a trail off McCauley Lake Road, near Algonquin Park. OPP officers and emergency responders rushed to the scene shortly before 2:00 p.m., but the driver could not be saved. The OPP’s specialized traffic enforcement unit has taken over the investigation to determine what caused the rollover.
