Starting Thursday, Loenen National War Cemetery will have space for approximately five hundred new war graves. The expansion is necessary because the current burial plots are virtually full and war victims are still being reburied there every year. It is the first time since the middle of the last century that a Dutch war cemetery has been expanded in this way.
