Artemis II blasts off on historic ten-day mission to the Moon
For the first time in more than half a century, a crew of astronauts are on their way to the Moon. Despite a flurry of last-minute technical issues, Artemis II blasted off from Cape Canaveral last night and is currently orbiting the Earth. The 10-day mission will take them round the Moon – travelling further from Earth than anyone has gone before, and laying the groundwork to establish base on the Moon and send humans to Mars.
