Minister for the Environment awaits conclusions from ERSE to decide for compensation to Spain. PS will first speak with PSD on the name for Ombudsman and understands decision of Tiago Antunes.
The government has already asked ERSE for more speed in preparing the final report on the Iberian blackout of 28 April 2025, which will dictate whether the event was extraordinary or not, and will be able to open the door to claims for damages
In March, European experts concluded that the incident resulted from multiple technical factors, without assigning legal responsibilities, by referring that assessment to the national authorities.
If the event is declared extraordinary, compensation and compensation may not be paid.
