The Riigikogu has begun discussing next year's state budget. Its total volume is 21.3 billion euros, most of which will be directed to national defense and the social sector. The Riigikogu concluded the first reading of the budget after two days of debate. “This is not an argument if you make faces.” Next year’s budget passed its first reading in the Riigikogu. The Riigikogu will begin the first reading of the 2027 State Budget Bill at a plenary session on Tuesday. The bill will be introduced by Minister of Finance Jürgen Ligi (RE) and Chair of the Finance Committee Annely Akkermann (RE).
