The rumor of the appointment of Laurence Garnier, known for her anti-marriage positions for all and against the inclusion of abortion in the Constitution, provoked an outcry from the left and the center.
Michel Barnier was received at the Elysée by the President of the Republic on Thursday evening. The executive will be presented “before Sunday”. Names proposed by LR are circulating, including that of the senator opposed to marriage for all and the inclusion of abortion in the Constitution.
While Senator LR Laurence Garnier is being considered for the Ministry of the Family, several elected officials, including Manon Aubry, denounce her past positions. Emmanuel Macron asked Michel Barnier to remove his name from the government team.
