Daiki Dobashi (54), chief announcer of NHK Okinawa Broadcasting Station, recently published a book entitled "A Town Born from War: 80 Years of the Okinawa-Amami Village of Namishima, Miyazaki City" (Komyakusha). Namishima is also known as "Little Okinawa" because many people from Okinawa and Amami evacuated or emigrated there during and after the war.
