Man Utd Have 'Moved on' From Martinez Outburst, Says Carrick
- On Friday, Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick insisted the club has "moved on" from defender Lisandro Martinez's explosive post-match comments regarding the team's leadership and transfer strategy.
- Following Tuesday's 2-0 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid, the defender criticized technical director Jason Wilcox, claiming he "expects more" investment after the summer transfer window.
- Former United captain Roy Keane branded the situation "a bit of a circus," though Martinez issued a public apology Thursday after holding "very positive" talks with club leadership.
- Carrick confirmed Martinez will be part of the squad for Sunday's Premier League trip to Leeds United, despite the defender reportedly being fined internally by the club.
- Dismissing external criticism, Carrick emphasized squad unity, saying, "Just because people talk on the outside doesn't mean that is the truth." The coach stressed the squad is in a fantastic place.
