Lisa Faulkner Shares Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Surgery in Heartfelt Update
Faulkner said surgery was successful and she will begin radiotherapy after doctors found the cancer through a mammogram.
On Thursday, actress Lisa Faulkner, 54, revealed on Instagram that she underwent surgery two weeks ago for early-stage breast cancer, confirming doctors removed the cancer and she is now "all clear."
Faulkner, who recently returned to the stage after 21 years, had been notably absent from social media before sharing her health update, having previously discussed her mother Julie's death from throat cancer at 44.
Crediting the "wonderful NHS" for her early diagnosis, Faulkner urged followers not to delay mammogram appointments, emphasizing that without routine screening, the cancer would not have been picked up.
Following her announcement, celebrity friends sent messages of support, including Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley and EastEnders star Emma Barton, while fans overwhelmed the Weekend Kitchen presenter with well-wishes.
While Faulkner continues her recovery, she confirmed she will begin radiotherapy in a few weeks, stating she is feeling "so much better" as she focuses on her healing process.
