Detroit Lions Cut Tracker: Promising Rookie WR Among Multiple Moves Reported

Mike Garafolo said Monday that the Detroit Lions have waived quarterback Hendon Hooker, two days after his Week 3 preseason appearance Saturday, ahead of the 4 pm ET Tuesday roster cutdown.

Drafted at No. 68 in 2023, Hendon Hooker missed his rookie year rehabbing a torn ACL and has earned $2.66 million with a $1.55 million cap hit in 2025.
