Detroit Lions Sign All-Pro LB Jack Campbell to Four-Year Extension
Campbell earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2025 and led Detroit with 176 tackles before the Lions declined his fifth-year option.
On Thursday, May 21, the Detroit Lions signed linebacker Jack Campbell to a four-year contract extension, keeping him under contract through the 2030 season.
The deal follows the Lions' decision to decline Campbell's fifth-year option last month, avoiding an immovable $21.9 million cap hit in 2027.
Campbell earned 2025 first-team All-Pro honors after recording 176 total tackles, five sacks, and four passes defended while serving as the Lions' primary defensive communicator.
While exact terms remain undisclosed, Spotrac estimates the four-year deal is worth roughly $85 million, positioning Campbell as one of the NFL's highest-paid off-ball linebackers.
The Lions continue pursuing long-term extensions with other 2023 draft picks, including running back Jahmyr Gibbs, defensive back Brian Branch, and tight end Sam LaPorta.
